Choosing the right school for your child is a very important decision.  At Holy Cross Catholic Primary School we want to help you with this important next step in your child’s learning journey.

The choice of school for your child’s education is of great importance.  Tours with the Principal are available when advertised or upon negotiated request.  Meeting our students and our staff, and seeing how they engage in their learning at Holy Cross is the first step in determining if our school will be the school for your child and your family.

Priority of enrolment will be given to Catholic children of families resident within the school catchment zone.  Non-Catholic children who live within the catchment zone may be enrolled at the discretion of the Principal, and only when their enrolment would not exclude Catholic children. All parents are required to give an undertaking that the nature, life and special identity of the school will be respected.

Foundation Enrolment

Children must turn 5 years of age before 30 April the year they are commencing school. Enrolment applications for children to attend Holy Cross Catholic Primary School will be accepted the year prior to commencement.  Enrolments will open between March and May of the year prior to commencement.  Following the lodgement of an application form the Principal will meet with all students and families in the June of the year prior to commencement.

The Application consists of:

  • Immunisation Schedule
  • Visa information (where applicable)
  • Baptism Certificate (where applicable)

Applications for Foundation enrolment are accepted by the School Office for consideration by the Principal. Enrolments for all other year levels are accepted throughout the year, subject to vacancies. Consideration will be given to all enrolments.

Please refer to the Enrolment Policy for further information.

Commencing in November each year, new Prep students undertake the Prep Transition Program.

The transition program is made up of four morning sessions.   All children commencing Prep join the prep teachers and participate in activities that assist with transitioning to school.
