Meet Teacher Caitlin Lyons

Hello, my name is Caitlin and I am absolutely delighted to be joining the Holy Cross community as a classroom teacher. Next year will be my fifth year of teaching, however I know that learning is a lifelong journey and I look forward to continuing my professional development at Holy Cross.

I am passionate about creating an inclusive learning environment where students feel safe, happy and ready to learn. I am committed to building positive relationships with students, families, staff and the wider community. Through these partnerships we will work together to ensure all students achieve success.

There are many wonderful things about being a teacher. I enjoy watching the growth and development of all students and supporting their learning journey throughout the year. I strive to create fun, engaging and differentiated learning experiences to ensure that all students reach their full potential. I love watching children achieve success and learn new skills they may have initially found challenging.

When I am not teaching, I love to be outdoors and spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy taking my dog for long walks, gardening and cooking. The dish the most requested for me to cook is my spaghetti with baked meatballs. This year I have started to grow my own vegetables and I am really looking forward to being able to use them in my cooking.
I am looking forward to a fantastic year together in 2022!
